Julia was raised in London and trained at Central School of Speech and Drama.

Her work includes new writing at the Orange Tree Theatre and with Paines Plough, Shakespeare with Steven Berkoff, Greek Tragedy with Lydia Koniordou and a bi-lingual production of Marivaux's La Dispute at the regional theatre Le Preau in Normandy. She has also worked on short films, TV and Live Art projects.

Julia is represented by Philippa Howell.
